Adult Care Worker Level 2

This Diploma is for your frontline people i.e. entry level roles, people that are just at the start of their career.

 

Example Job roles suitable for this level are Care Assistant, Care Worker, Support

Lead Adult Care Worker Level 3

This Diploma is for someone at a supervisory level – a Team leader, someone who would provide guidance to other employees.

 

Example job roles are Care Officer, Care Supervisor, relief team leader, Dementia and End of life care worker, Social Work Assistant, Mental Health worker.

Lead Practitioner in Adult Care Level 4

This Diploma would suit someone in a position to lead and inspire. They would have greater expertise in specialist subjects. 

 

Example job roles are - Dementia care leader, Reablement worker,  Physiotherapy Assistant.​

This Diploma is for a  person who will guide and inspire teams to make a positive difference to someone's life.  

 

Example roles are – Registered Assistant, Deputy unit or Service Manager. Care Home Manager.

Leader in Adult Care Level 5
  • Who can enrol on a diploma?
    Anyone aged 16 or over who works (or has access to work) in a care setting. You don’t need prior qualifications or GCSEs.
  • How long does it take to complete a diploma?
    Most learners complete their qualification in 6 to 12 months, depending on their pace and work commitments.
  • Is all the learning online?
    Yes. Learning is delivered entirely online via our Myrus learner platform, giving you access to study materials, assessments and tutor support anytime.
  • What about face-to-face sessions?
    There are no classroom sessions. However, your practical skills will be assessed through observations at your workplace, carried out by a qualified CareShield coach.
  • Do I need Maths or English qualifications?
    No. Functional skills are not required for our diploma programmes. You’ll focus on the knowledge and skills directly related to your care role.
  • What support will I receive?
    You'll have access to an experienced tutor throughout your course. They’ll support you with learning, provide feedback, and schedule your workplace observations.
  • How is the diploma assessed?
    You’ll complete a portfolio of evidence including: Written assignments Practical tasks Workplace observations by a CareShield coach

    Yes! Our diplomas are designed to fit around your shifts and duties with no disruption to your working hours.

    Diplomas: • Are shorter and more flexible • Don’t require off-the-job hours or Maths/English • Focus purely on care knowledge and skills • Have no End Point Assessment

    Yes. The Myrus platform allows you to monitor learner progress, view milestones, and generate reports for your team.

    No. Learning is online and fully flexible. Observations take place in the workplace during normal shifts, led by our coaches.

    Absolutely. We regularly onboard groups and can tailor delivery to suit your team’s needs.
